What Should I Do If The Aerial Work Platform Fails To Start?

When everything is working properly with the engine of an aerial work platform, a failure of the starter or battery can make it difficult to start, or even not start. In this case, it is necessary to first understand the use of the starter and battery of the aerial work platform, so as to roughly judge the fault location.
If the battery has been used for more than 1 year, the condition of the battery should be checked, because it is likely that the battery is damaged and cannot be used; if the battery has been used for a short time and the starter has not been overhauled for a long time, it should be checked from the starter. Then, according to the fault phenomenon at startup, the detailed analysis is as follows:
1. When starting, only the "gurgling" sound of the electromagnetic switch of the starter is heard, or the starter drives the crankshaft to rotate slowly a few times when starting for the first time, and then the "gurgle" sound of the starting electromagnetic switch appears, but the crankshaft does not rotate. This phenomenon is generally a "broken" fault of the battery.
2. The temporary parking of the aerial work platform can be started every time, but the crankshaft can only be rotated when the parking time is long or the next day is started. This phenomenon belongs to the serious self-discharge of the battery, and its plates and separators are seriously aged, indicating that the battery is close to being scrapped, and the battery needs to be replaced at this time.
3. When the aerial work platform starts, the starter suddenly rotates weakly, and is accompanied by the smell of burning rubber or smoke coming out of the battery, which is mostly due to poor contact between the pole pile and the pole pile clamp and the heating and burning.
4. If the starter drive gear and the engine flywheel gear ring make an idling sound when the aerial work platform starts, the reasons may be the following two reasons: one is the deformation of the meshing entry surface of the flywheel gear ring; The two can't be meshed, and the engine won't start.
5. As soon as the main power switch is turned on, the starter drive gear will be meshed with the flywheel gear ring and rotate together. If this fault occurs, one is that the holding coil of the electromagnetic switch of the starter is misconnected on the power binding post; the other is that the three wires on the key switch are connected wrongly, and the judgment method is: when the key is in the "0" position, the starter drive gear does not rotate, and the motor driving gear is meshed with the flywheel gear ring when the key is in the "0" position.
6. When the start switch is turned to the starting position, the engine cannot be started, and there is no other phenomenon. This kind of fault is that the key and switch are not connected to the starting circuit due to wear, the second is that the starter relay is not connected to the starter electromagnetic switch circuit, and the third is that the power switch is not connected to the main circuit.
